The Next Generation of Community Learning Hubs

In Oakland, California, where our organization is based, the statistics are alarming. Less than 1 in 5 Black children can read at grade level, and only 18.6% of Latinx students are considered proficient readers overall. These numbers paint a stark picture of the educational inequities that exist in our city. It's a reality that we simply cannot afford to ignore.

At 3Ls, our mission is to eradicate disproportionate literacy outcomes for Black and Brown students. We believe that every child deserves access to quality education and the opportunity to thrive. That's why we're launching our first annual fundraising campaign to build sister schools in communities where our literacy programs are desperately needed.

The goal of our campaign is ambitious yet crucial: to raise $25,000 to fund the creation of sister schools in underserved neighborhoods. These schools will serve as beacons of hope, providing children with access to the transformative power of literacy. By expanding our reach and our impact to West Oakland by implementing our signature program, we can open doors to brighter futures for countless children in our community.

But we can't do it alone. We need your support to make this vision a reality. Your donation will directly contribute to the construction and operation of these sister schools, ensuring that every child has the tools and resources they need to succeed academically and beyond.

I urge you to join us in this important endeavor. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a world of difference in the lives of our students. Together, we can create a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Thank you for considering supporting our cause. Your generosity will help us rewrite the narrative for our children and our community.
